American version is based on a Korean movie.It is a story of a girl who after tragical death of her mother is coming back to her father house. Father has a new wife, which she doesnt like so much also she has to confront past with present time and find out who really killed her mother.She really regrets that father decided to live with someone else,her mother died accidentally.Only with her sister who is her bestfriend she can find some common language.Besides of this she discovered that in the house is someone else-ghost who wants to say something, something secretly what can change view of past events.
I really recommend this movie,good pictures,nice music and excellent play of actors with David Strathain(Wild river,Bourne identity) as a father.The picture is made by Dreamworks studio(Steven Spielberg is an owner of studio).I can see that a lot movies from Asia has got their American versions(The ring,The grudge,One missed call), personally I prefer American movies but it denpends.Trailer below.My mark 5/5, it is really worth of seeing and the end is great.
